Handball club "Borac" was founded in 1950.
The federal league of Yugoslavia was founded in 1957. The handbal club Borac become its member and since then was competing in this league until the disintigration of Yugoslavia in 1992.
Borac was the champion of Yugoslavia seven times- 1959, 1960, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1981.
The champion of Cup of Yugoslavia was ten times- 1957, 1958, 1961, 1969, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1979 and 1992. year when Yugoslavia split.
It was the champion of Europe in 1976 .
The champion of IHF Cup in 1991.
Handball club "Borac" is currently competing in Republic of Srpska within Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
So far Borac has been the champion of Republic Srpska four times- in 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997.
The winner of Cup of Republic Srpska has also been four times- in 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1997. The Champion for Cup did not take place in 1995 becouse of war acts.
