Documentary movie’s production transferred through major changes all over the world since the period of 2^nd world war. Special place had, also, ex-Yugoslavian cinematography with production of movies and producing continuity. Considering all of it, all of the conditions for establishing national or international movie festivals were existing in the past.

Today, movie festivals are separated in many categories: in or out of the competition, national or international; acting, documentary, animated, amateur; drama, comedy, science fiction and cet.

Three versions of documentary movies were sport, tourist and ecology, whose afterward became a separated area. Sport and tourist movies were usually supported by sport and tourist associations and clubs, but the ecology was the needed support for preservation of nature.

Also, it’s very important the fact that we were enlisted an “BELFEST” into the International Committee of Tourist, Sport and Ecology movies, within theirs headquarter in Wien, Austria.

Special contribution

We must admit that the major support in Project realization of this event was received by Mr. Gavrilo Azinovic, director of the Festival “MEFEST”, Zlatibor, Yugoslavia and Mr. Antonio Conte, president of the International Federation of the festivals and president of the European Association of the Tourist Press. With theirs recommendations we will be able to present all of the possibilities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in above mentioned areas.

This idea’s realization is under the fact that on this area weren’t these festivals ever before. Because of that authors, wide audience and all of the cultural workers weren’t able to follow high quality documentary movies from Europe and the world, as well as, to present our own capabilities to them.

Other aim of the festival is to became a presentation of the tourist, sport and ecology capabilities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to serve for it in the future.

Also, Festival is offering a chance for domestic movie industry to develop, and to present our efforts through direct contact with the colleagues and cinematographers from Europe and the world. In Banja Luka are objective conditions for establishing this kind of festival, also, as good traffic conditions for ecology tour through Bosnia and Herzegovina (Zelenkovac, Sarajevo and cet.)

Festival will be internationally based while domestic and international documentary movies (ecology, sport and tourism) will be shown to the wide audience. Movies which are offending any nation or serving to any political structure will be rejected. Besides the main part – movie’s presentation, Festival will involve many cultural events, ecology, sport and tourist presentations of capabilities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and cet.

For wide contact with the audience all of the movies submitted to the Festival will be offered for free to all televisions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
